‘Don’t Interrupt Me:’ GOP Rep. Says She Has Gender Queer Son – MSNBC Pundit LOSES It

MSNBC commentator Christine Quinn called former Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth of New York a “sham” Thursday after Hayworth revealed she has a gender queer son during a heated debate over President Donald Trump’s treatment of the LBGTQ community.

After MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle said Trump lies “every damn day,” Hayworth made an effort to defend the president by touting his economic achievements that “elevate all Americans.”

Quinn, who serves as vice chair of the New York Democratic Party, interjected to say that Trump is not defending all Americans, because he is “trashing rights of the LGBTQ community.”

“You know what? Don’t interrupt me when I’m talking about the LGBTQ community and our rights,” Quinn said, to which Hayworth responded that her own son is gender queer.

“You know what? That’s a ridiculous statement. It’s my community,” Quinn, who is openly gay, responded.

“I care about that [the LGBTQ community],” Hayworth interrupted.

“Then you’re a sham,” Quinn ended.
