Melania Lights National Christmas Tree
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
The First lady and president light the National Christmas Tree in Washington, D.C. One button is all it takes to the light the tree – and it’s ‘officially’ Christmas!
This year was the seventh annual tree lighting ceremony – but the 97th annual Christmas tree.

Her outfit of choice?
Gabriela Hearst. Melania chose the designer’s ‘Cassat Coat’ which featured holiday red with a white plaid design.
The coat sold for $4,000 and was on sale for $1,960 before it finally sold out on ModaOperandi.com. The coat has a fitted collar neckline with a double breasted closure and belted cuffs.
Melania sported shorter hair (recent haircut, maybe?) with subtle bangs and ombre. Her rosy cheeks, light pink lipstick, and dark eye makeup complimented the entire look.

Who was there?
Featured guests of the night included:
Jessie James Decker, a country singer; Colton Dixon from American Idol; Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus; Spensha Baker from The Voice; West Tennessee Youth Chorus; and Cheval Sheperd from The Voice.
Local residents and fans from across the country came to honor the event. Members of congress were also present.
Today’s spotlight on conservative women goes to Monica Crowley.
Crowley is currently the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Treasury. She previously worked as a Fox News contributor and Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Public Affairs. Crowley also wrote for The Washington Times and The Hill.
Crowley tweeted on Friday (and was retweeted by Ivanka) to celebrate the booming job market! 266,000 jobs were added in November, and the unemployment rate is at a 50 year low of 3.5%.
