Let’s Hear it for Women’s Development
Today, Ivanka celebrated the WEEE Act’s one-year anniversary.
Huh? The WEEE Act, otherwise known as the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act, seeks to empower women across the world.

How so? The legislation lays the foundation for eliminating barriers to economic growth for women. This includes decreasing gender-based violence and increasing access to education, healthcare and general financial tools. The bill also requires the US Agency for International Development to allot some of its funding to women-owned ventures, as well as track development.
Ivanka posted to Instagram earlier today to share the milestone with her followers. “Spent the morning with @usaidmarkgreen and 72 Mission Directors talking #WGDP and celebrating the 1 yr anniversary of the #WEEEAct!”
