Campaign Update: Lara Stops in Wisconsin for KAG event
“When you contrast what they (Democrats) are offering to people in this country, to the people here in Wisconsin with what President Trump has done, I think it becomes very clear,” said Lara during her speech on Monday in Wausau, Wisconsin.
With a crowd of about 300 people, Lara assured her audience members that there will be many more visits from the president as they gain election momentum.
Lara addressed a range of topics, from the president’s tweets to Russian collusion accusations.
“We couldn’t even collude with Iowa. How do they think we were going to collude with Russia?” Lara said. “Wow, they gave us a lot of credit.”

Highlighting Trump’s accomplishments, Lara made sure to mention a steady drop in unemployment in the state. In a recent editorial, Lara wrote that 41,000 new jobs have been created in Wisconsin during Trump’s presidency so far as well as tax cuts that have helped save residents up to $1,400.
The president won Wisconsin by a narrow margin back in 2016. In an interview with News 9 on Monday night, Lara assured Wisconsin was a state of priority in the upcoming campaign, but that they would also be investing in states that weren’t won in 2016.
