Women for Trump

Did you know? Women for Trump – a coalition meant to empower and encourage women to actively show their support for the president – is led by Lara Trump herself.
Launched in 2016 by the Trump campaign, the coalition recognizes common issues women face regarding support for their outspoken billionaire president. Reservations by Trump’s younger female supporters include being treated differently in the workplace and being judged by liberal students on college campuses.
Women for Trump, however, supports speaking out for Trump as a means to solving these problems. What they call “silent voters” – the women and people that agree with Trump’s policy decisions but don’t voice their support, or don’t show up to the polls on election day – are called upon to stand front and center.
When female supporters stay silent, misrepresentation becomes an issue. The statistics for women that support and/or donate to the Trump campaign is misleading and lacking, thereby indirectly influencing the opinion of other women who may be on the edge, uncertain of which side of politics they can see themselves in.

Through Women for Trump, Lara helps remind this demographic of why Trump is worth speaking out for, despite the immediate consequences.
“Because of President Trump’s policies, women have seen large gains in employment numbers, in securing our communities and most importantly in equipping the next generation of female leaders,” she said in a statement to Newsweek. “‘Women for Trump’ will not only highlight the President’s clear record of success during his first term but will share a vision of empowerment and prosperity for every person in every corner of our country.”
Lara is on a “Women for Trump” bus tour today and tomorrow, traveling to five cities in Iowa to meet with supporters. She’s joined by senior campaign adviser Mercedes Schlapp and campaign National Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
