Trendsetting Style

The details: What. A. Stunner. Ivanka chose an all-black ensemble for her arrival at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday. Ivanka was previously seen wearing this Oscar de la Renta dress in April of 2018 while leaving her Washington, D.C. home.

The senior advisor to the president spiced up her look with a shiny gold flower belt also made by Oscar de la Renta. The belt alone costs a whopping $1,490 and is currently sold out online. She finished off the look with almond toe, high heel black boots.

In the News

Ivanka finished out her first day at the World Economic Forum with strong intentions: to get world business leaders to sign her Pledge to America’s Workers. Though, she’s not getting much attention for it.

Try searching “Ivanka in Davos” and you’ll just get the latest in impeachment drama. According to recent reports, Ivanka “blew off” Jim Acosta, the chief White House correspondent at CNN. As she was seen walking with staff at the forum, Acosta approached her asking what her thoughts were on her father’s impeachment.

Take a look at the video in the next section – Ivanka blatantly ignores Acosta. But we’d say she was rightful in doing so. The World Economic Forum doesn’t seem like the place to grill the first daughter on what’s happening with the Senate trial. Ivanka was there to secure petition signatures and empower America’s workforce, not to dish comments on its political climate.

Donald Trump Jr. seems to agree, although he takes the argument a bit further. Trump’s oldest son replied to one of Acosta’s retweets on Twitter, saying,”Why should she give a comment to one of the most dishonest reporters in all of Washington?”

Rather than throw shade, we praise Ivanka for standing her ground and focusing on what she came to achieve on the first day of the World Economic Forum. Keep reading this week for more updates!
