Happy Anniversary!

Did you hear? Yesterday was Melania and Donald’s 15th wedding anniversary! It’s a milestone to commemorate – and The White House thought so too. They shared the photo above to their Instagram account with the caption, “Happy 15th anniversary, President @realdonaldtrump and @flotus! ❤️”

Let’s dig into the past, shall we? Melania and Donald were married on January 22, 2005 at an episcopal church in Palm Beach, Florida. At the time, our polarizing president was still known as a largely eminent billionaire real estate mogul and host of The Apprentice

Melania, on the other hand, was known for her successful high-profile modeling career. She moved to New York in 1996 and met Donald two years later while attending a New York Fashion Week party at Manhattan’s Kit Kat Club.

In an interview in 2005 with Larry King, Trump recollected on their famed encounter. “I went crazy,” he said. “I was actually supposed to meet somebody else. There was this great supermodel sitting next to Melania. I was supposed to meet this supermodel. They said: Look, there’s so and so. I said: Forget about her. Who is the one on the left? And it was Melania.”

And, as they say, the rest is history. We know Melania now for her compassion to help children, shown through her #BeBest campaign. As for Donald, he’s Making America Great Again. We can’t wait to see what the next 15 years brings our beloved first lady and president.
