The Alfalfa Club and The After-Party

The Inside Scoop

The Alfalfa Club // The After-Party
Ever imagined what it would be like to attend a billionaire’s party? We’re talking Jeff Bezos, to be exact.
He threw an after-party following the annual “Alfalfa Club” dinner – the most prestigious secretive club in Washington hosting high-profile figures including Ivanka Trump herself. As far as anyone knows, the sole purpose of the club is simply the annual black-tie dinner itself.

The only thing not elusive about it is that only the most influential of people are invited – this year’s guest list included Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Senator Mitt Romney, actor Ben Stiller and White House advisor Kellyanne Conway.
Bezos threw his after-party on Saturday in celebration of the completion to his $23 million mansion located in Washington, D.C. The Amazon founder bought the mansion in 2017 and it’s gone through extensive renovations since then.
Ivanka arrived all cozied up with her husband, Jared Kushner, by her side. Her father, Donald Trump, was not in attendance although previous presidents have been invited to the exclusive gathering.

Black Voices for Trump is a campaign that “shares experiences and successes of everyday people as a result of the Trump administration.” According to its website, they encourage the black community to vote for President Trump in 2020 due to his sustained promises of greater economic opportunity, better healthcare and safer communities.
Lara’s “Woke” baseball cap is sold on the campaign’s website. Typically used to describe individuals that are privy to the injustices of society, specifically in regards to minority groups, “woke” has become a popular term of the campaign. Both the campaign and the president have encouraged people to text the word “woke” to 88022, where they can fill out a strategy survey and receive information related to voting efforts.
