The USMCA Trade Agreement
Ivanka attended the official signing of the USMCA trade agreement into law today! USMCA is the largest trade agreement ever made and the second major trade deal by the Trump administration this year.
In an Instagram post earlier today, Ivanka said, “With today’s signing of USMCA, we leave behind the failed policies of the past and have a new trade deal, the largest in history, that will benefit our nation’s great farmers, ranchers and workers! #PromiseKept
The agreement is expected to bring in 80,000 new jobs and as much as $30 billion in new investments to the auto industry, as well as expand market opportunities for farmers and ranchers. The agreement is expected to create as many as 589,000 jobs in total.
President Trump also took to Twitter (as usual), saying, “For the first time in American History, we have replaced a disastrous Trade Deal that REWARDED outsourcing with a truly FAIR and RECIPROCAL Trade Deal that will keep jobs, wealth and growth right here in AMERICA!”
