Post-Acquittal Victory Lap

A celebration in its own right – Donald Trump held a victory speech today in the East Room of the White House. The topic of interest, of course, was his acquittal in the Senate and a successful end to the ‘impeachment hoax’.

We’ve been going through this now for over three years,” Trump said in his statement today, which was over an hour long. “It was evil, it was corrupt, it was dirty cops, it was leakers and liars and this should never ever happen to another president.”

Ivanka Trump, senior advisor to her father, is celebrating the victory right along with him. She posted yesterday on Twitter, saying,

This factional fever and incoherent, ill-conceived process has finally ended and the President has rightfully been acquitted. It is time for our Country to move forward. Together. POTUS has accomplished so much and is just getting started. The best is yet to come! ??”

Melania made an appearance on the podium in the East Room today as well. Along with the support she’s been showing her husband, she’s been receiving a lot of attention herself in regards to her #BeBest campaign. The timing is perfect, considering the progress being made – in an Instagram post last week, she said,

For the first time in 29 years, drug overdose deaths have dropped by 4.1% and life expectancy has increased for the first time in 4 years! Proud of this administration for ensuring a safer and healthier future for our nations children. #BeBest https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/statements-decline-drug-overdose-deaths/”

The Trump’s and the administration will surely be riding this high for a while. Their campaign is now all the more stronger, and we can put impeachment in the past where it belongs. Now, we get back to what’s important – fighting for the American people and the state of our country.
