Gentleman, Start Your Engines!

Melania and Donald Trump revved up the race tracks and the crowd of 100,00 people on Sunday at this year’s Daytona 500!

After the president gave his Grand Marshal speech, he joined Melania in leading 40 race cars around the track. They took the lap in an armored 22,000-pound, Cadillac-branded presidential limo called “The Beast.”

Melania and President Trump are the first ever in history to do so. Plus, Trump is only the second sitting president to attend the Daytona 500 – the last presidential appearance was in 1984 by President Ronald Reagan.

In a tweet on Sunday, Melania said:

“Thank you @NASCAR and @DISupdates for a patriotic & fun afternoon! #DAYTONA500”
