Lara Fights for the Female Vote
“Whether you don’t like everything he says, or the way he says it, or his hair or whatever it is, you can’t argue that what he’s done hasn’t worked in this country,” said Lara Trump on her bus tour in Iowa.
Lara is campaigning for the hidden female vote in America ahead of the November 3 election. Why aren’t women speaking out?
According to a poll by Ipsos, an alarming difference was found in the percentage of women supporting Trump in rural America versus urban and suburban areas. Lara sees numbers like these as an indication of how afraid some women are to voice their opinion, but that “when women are in a voting booth and no one is looking, they know that this president is looking out for them.”
While campaigning with second lady Karen Pence and national press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Lara reminds female voters to put their opinion of Trump’s “style” aside and instead look at how his policies have changed their lives. Being a mother of two young children herself, she appealed to other mom’s at a ‘MAGA Mommy’ event in Iowa during her January bus tour to discuss this topic.
According to USA Today, only 42% of women backed Trump in the 2016 exit polls – but Lara seems confident the “hidden vote” is there and will carry Trump through a second term. She’s holding ‘Women for Trump’ and ‘KAG’ events all over the country to highlight the president’s success thus far and encourage women to use their voices.
Lara told USA Today that “there was something that happened in 2016, and I think people were reawakened in this country…. Whether you like him or not, he really reinvigorated politics in America.”
