Trump Campaign Events Canceled Due to Coronavirus

As many places enter into a “state of emergency” amid the Coronavirus outbreak, it’s hard to say what events voters can still count on attending this election season.

Melania Trump’s first ever dinner sweepstakes in Beverly Hills, which was scheduled for March 18, has now been canceled. Lara Trump’s “Women for Trump” three-day bus tour, which was scheduled to begin on Monday, has effectively been postponed. The tour was scheduled to campaign in the states of Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

According to the Washington Examiner, Ivanka is still scheduled to headline a New York reelection event for her father on April 1, though with rapidly changing updates on the spread of the Coronavirus, it’s hard to predict.

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham made a statement regarding the outbreak and cancellations, saying, “Out of an abundance of caution from the Coronavirus outbreak, the President has decided to cancel his upcoming events in Colorado and Nevada.”
