UPDATE: Nancy Pelosi’s daughter removes hateful tweet about Sen. Rand Paul
On Monday, in the midst of a tense Senate debate surrounding the $1.8 trillion stimulus bill, Nancy Pelosi’s daughter took to Twitter to spread her vitriolic hatred towards Sen. Rand Paul.
In response to a tweet sharing that Sen. Mitt Romney was ordered to self-quarantine after spending prolonged time on the Senate floor with Paul, she said: “Rand Paul’s neighbor was right.” The tweet has since been removed.
On Sunday, Sen. Rand Paul confirmed that he tested positive for the Coronavirus. While many took to Twitter to give the senator well wishes, Christine Pelosi took to Twitter to do the exact opposite.
Christine Pelosi’s tweet references a 2017 attack on Paul, in which, after being brutally beaten by his neighbor, he was left with multiple broken ribs, pneumonia and had a part of his lung removed. This lung removal put him at greater risk of contracting the Coronavirus.
As many are well aware, the Coronavirus can be deadly, especially for those who are immunocompromised or those who have lung problems. Contracting this virus could mean the worst of fates for Paul. Of course, as Paul had to self-quarantine, he was unable to vote on the very stimulus bill that was blocked by Democrats on Monday, proving that Christine Pelosi, like her mother, puts her partisan politics above the lives of others.
Nancy Pelosi has yet to comment on her daughter’s cruel tweet; however, it is unlikely that she will do so.
