Stephanie Grisham returns from self-quarantine: ‘It’s unfortunate what the media is doing’
Stephanie Grisham returned to work on Wednesday after testing negative for COVID-19, confirmed a White House spokesperson.
Grisham attended an event at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where she interacted with the Brazilian president’s press secretary who later tested positive for the virus.
Out of an abundance of caution for herself and others, she quarantined herself for over two weeks before making her return today.
Grisham clearly hasn’t lost a beat. She joined “Fox & Friends” earlier today to question why people continue to push controversy between President Trump and Dr. Anthony Fauci, a member of the Coronavirus Task Force.
“Unfortunately, once again, some members of the media are using a really important time in our country to try and divide people on the task force,” Grisham said.
“I’ve sat in meetings with them. The president listens to his team, Dr. Fauci lays out recommendations, the president asks questions and he listens to his team. They are in lockstep together, he listens to all of them, so it’s unfortunate what the media is doing.”
Grisham also reported on the president’s hope of scaling back restrictions across the country before his Easter deadline. In a Fox News virtual town hall, the president said he plans to have the country “opened back up” by April 12.
During the segment, Grisham said, “I think he would love it if we were open up for business yesterday. After the 15 days, when we see the data come in, we’ll see where we’re at and I think the president will make his decision now, but he is hopeful.”
