First Lady and President speak with King and Queen of Spain

President Trump and First Lady Melania spoke with Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain on Tuesday, according to a statement made by the White House. 

“The leaders discussed the latest efforts to combat the coronavirus and agreed to work closely together in the days and weeks ahead,” the statement read. “The President and the First Lady look forward to welcoming Their Majesties to the White House after the virus is defeated.””

A state dinner had been scheduled with the King and Queen for April 21, but was postponed two weeks ago due to risks posed by the global epidemic.
