In place of the White House Easter Egg Roll, first lady Melania Trump is delivering 25,000 commemorative eggs to children’s hospitals, federal agencies, aid groups and grocery store chains.
The Easter Egg Roll, which was scheduled for April 13, has been canceled only 17 times since it began in 1878. The eggs, made by Maine Wood Concepts this year, are usually shared with participants of the egg rolls.
