Ivanka Trump came under fire recently for leaving her home in Washington, D.C., to celebrate Passover with her family. Reports, including the New York Times, indicate the senior advisor traveled to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey.

Though many have publicly criticized the decision, the White House came to her defense in a statement, saying that “her travel was not commercial” and “she chose to spend a holiday in private with her family.”
