“If @politico’s commitment to get the “facts straight” was as important as their insatiable desire to rush out the door with a semi-baked story, paired with a salacious headline, then maybe they wouldn’t constantly be wrong,” wrote White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany in a tweet Tuesday.

Politico published an article Friday morning in which it claimed President Trump, through the Trump Organization, owed “tens of millions of dollar” to the Bank of China for a refinancing deal made in 2012.

Bank of China then came out with a statement stating it solds its debt shortly after the 2012 deal. Politico followed up with an editor’s note, including an issued apology, on Monday evening to correct the reported discrepancy.

The #CombatCovid19challenge

On April 14, Sens. Ted Cruz and Kirsten Gillibrand launched a campaign inspiring communities to safely lend a helping hand during the coronavirus crisis.

The movement, called the “Combat COVID-19 Challenge,” has made enormous strides since then. On Tuesday, Lara and Eric Trump accepted the challenge by delivering lunches to the men and women of the Briarcliff Manor police and fire departments.
