Graham calls out Democrats for ‘going soft’ on China
On Monday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham blamed Democrats for “going soft” on China, who continue to hold President Trump accountable for the nation’s health crisis.
“I find it very odd that the Democratic Party [who] used to be tough on China is all of a sudden very apologetic,” Graham told “The Ingraham Angle.”
“The Media and the Democrats are trying to lift up China, because if you put the blame on China where it lies, then Trump is right,” Graham said.
In recent weeks, the administration has discussed punishing China on multiple fronts, including a vote posed by Senate Republicans to impose economic sanctions on China and investigations into its relationship with the World Health Organization.
According to a new DHS intel report, China “concealed the severity of COVID-19 from the International community in early January while it stockpiled its own medical supplies.”
“I’m 100 percent convinced that without Chinese Communist Party deception the virus wouldn’t be here in the United States,” Graham said. “I’m 100 percent convinced they will never cooperate until they are made to do so.
“Our economic future is not dependent upon giving China a pass,” Graham said.
Despite China’s blatant disregard for transparency, a recent advertisement published by The Lincoln Project shows even Republicans aren’t convinced of Trump’s resolve for the American people and the deception of the Chinese Communist Party. The Lincoln Project is led by a group of anti-Trump Republicans.
“There’s mourning in America,” the ad stated. According to the video, the country is “weaker and sicker and poorer” under the Trump administration.
Trump pushed back on Twitter, saying, “A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, “Morning in America”, doing everything possible to get even for all of their many failures.”
“I didn’t use any of them because they don’t know how to win, and their so-called Lincoln Project is a disgrace to Honest Abe,” Trump wrote.
