Trump hits at Antifa, anarchist group labeled terror org
Over the weekend President Donald Trump said that he would designate Antifa a domestic terror organization.
The president’s announcement came as violence swelled in cities throughout the U.S. in the wake of the death of George Floyd.
The UK’s Telegraph reports that the violence had spread to over 30 cities. Historic landmarks like St John’s Church in DC, the Court House and Music City Center in Nashville suffered damage ranging from arson to petty vandalism.
Civil rights advocates say they doubt that the president has the legal authority to designate Antifa as a domestic a terror group.
“There currently exists no legal authority to designate domestic organizations as terror organizations, and any such designation would raise serious First Amendment concerns,” said Mary McCord a professor at Georgetown University’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection according to Politico.
Antifa, which stands for anti-fascist, is an anti-government, anarchist group. It has its roots in European socialism. Their protesters dress in black, with faces covered and operate in a “cell” organization used effectively by communists and Islamic terror organizations.
The administration seems determined to investigate the organization, regardless of its designation as a terror group, to understand if it has had a hand in turning peaceful protests into violence.
“With the rioting that is occurring in many of our cities around the country, the voices of peaceful and legitimate protests have been hijacked by violent radical elements,” Attorney General Bill Barr said in a statement. “Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate, violent, and extremist agenda. It is time to stop watching the violence and to confront and stop it.”
This isn’t the first time that the president has threatened action against Antifa.
“Consideration is being given to declaring ANTIFA, the gutless Radical Left Wack Jobs who go around hitting (only non-fighters) people over the heads with baseball bats, a major Organization of Terror (along with MS-13 & others),” Trump tweeted last year. “Would make it easier for police to do their job!”
What’s most on conservative minds is why Antifa sprung up in the first place and who is giving them money and who is organizing them. The designation as a terror group might facilitate the financial investigation into the group.
Insiders say that Antifa is not so much as a reaction to Trump as a signal that the Democrat Party has failed to unify the left in the U.S.
“There’s a crisis among the left,” said one Antifa organizer in 2017. “And they’re looking for alternatives outside of party structures. The anarchist movement is one that’s working outside structures. … People are excited about that.”
Just don’t count on the excitement of the American people outside anarchists’ circles.
“Tearing up things, it’s not going to solve anything,” Quincy Mason Floyd, son of George Floyd said. “My dad is in peace and we have to be the ones to deal with all this stress. It’s going to be tough to get over this day by day.”

This is all well and good. Antifa is a terrorist organization. So calling it that is really a no brainer. But what is this really going to mean on the ground? Soros bused in a group of them to my town here in Greeneville, TN today. They are out right now trying to incite people to rape and pillage as they have done elsewhere. I didn’t really expect anything to change today. But I’m wondering if anything will change in the future.
Unfortunately, the only way these people are going to stop destroying us, is if we finally get the backbone to destroy them. Only one group is going to come out the other end of this tunnel. The way things are now, it’s not going to be the hard working, law abiding citizen.

Quincy has it right. His father shouldn’t be remembered as the cause of these pieces of garbage TRASHING the cities, hurting and making ppl. They say George was a peace loving man. But this trash destroying the cities are doing it to steal and rob stores and the antifa pussies have instigated this and now they’re threatening the residential sections of towns. I mat be wrong by what I’m fixing to say but when they cross over into the neighborhoods the residents should defend themselves and their families and homes from this trash by taking out the garbage. The evil twin of Antifa is Black Lives Matter (BLM). As a result of its documented actions, BLM, has proven itself to be a radical and racist hate group that has also called for the murder of police officers. And, sadly, some of its members have actually answered this call by actually murdering law enforcement officers. Incredibly, the cheerleaders for these two pathological organizations is: the Democrat Party, the Left and the unhinged US media.

Antifa, bpm, black panthers, naacp, soros and the DNC are criminal terrorist groups and all should be designated as such and delt with in that manner!

With the new designation they can track financials easier so they can find out who is funding them & go after them. Sure it will be a DNC owned if not Soros. Listening to Hannity today and he voiced my concerns also – Governor Walz, democrat of Minnesota, has appointed the Attorney General here, Keith Ellison, to head the investigation of George Floyd. This is really bad since Ellison and his son, a Minneapolis council member have both voiced support for Antifa. Also I feel Ellison is very much a racist and has backed the Somali Congress womman, ,Ilhan Omar

Trump’s statement may have no legal backing or authority but it sends a message to the public about what Antifa really represents. That is a good start. People need to realize that Antifa is a Fascist organization using their name as a shield to distract from their real purpose which is to tear down our current form of government in replace with Communism. If you still think that Communism and Fascism are opposites then you need to go back and read the history books. The Nazis were Socialists. They didn’t agree with the Communists but their ideas and tactics to subdue those who didn’t agree with them were almost identical. Antifa needs to be wiped out by exposing them for what they really stand for and what they are trying to accomplish.
