GoFundMe suspends fundraising campaign for struggling cafe set up by conservative Candace Owens

On Tuesday, conservative political activist Candace Owens took to Twitter after fundraising platform GoFundMe suspended her campaign to raise money for Parkside Cafe in Alabama.
Private text messages between co-owner of the cafe, Michael Dykes, and an employee were leaked online, where Dykes referred to George Floyd as a “thug” and protestors as “idiots,” according to an article by Fox News.
The comments made by Dyke led to a boycotting of his business, at which point Owens stepped in to help.
“Business in Birmingham, Alabama is under attack because in a *private* text leaked by his employee – he agreed with the sentiments of a Candace Owens video. Left is calling for boycotts of his struggling business, so I created a fundraiser for him,” Owens wrote.
Owens quickly began trending on Twitter last week after she denounced the martyring of George Floyd in a video on the social platform.
“Confession: #GeorgeFloyd is neither a martyr or a hero. But I hope his family gets justice,” Owens wrote on June 3.
Candace Owens is certainly making her voice heard on social media, and without any apology. For the most part, however, many prominent Republicans have neglected to speak controversially.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently called out Republicans for not doing enough and instead deciding to “sit this crisis out.”
“[Republicans] haven’t bothered to explain what’s wrong,” Carlson said on Monday. “They haven’t bothered to tell us anything about what might be flawed about Black Lives Matter, and they don’t plan to by the way. They’re too cynical. They’re too fearful.”
Last week, Carlson laid blame on the responses of many prominent Republicans following the beginning of violent cross-country riots, including former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley, who hasn’t posted to Twitter since June 1.
The issue at hand now is whether these efforts will continue to be censored, as has been seen in tweets by the president and more recently in Owen’s fundraising for a struggling small business.

Truth can’t be inconvenient, the truth is the truth. There is no one who feels what happened to George Floyd should have happened but it doesn’t not erase the wrongs from his life. If the story is true that he assaulted a pregnant African American woman at gun point and held a gun on her stomach threatening to shoot her unborn child is true then he is not the saint everyone is trying to make him out to be. I understand those close to him loved and will miss him but they need to admit his wrong doings in life and have the obligation to make those facts known and not cover up his mistakes in life. They don’t want anything covered up about the officers or those they felt stood by and didn’t do anything but they are willing to lie about who he was. It would be better if they could just say he made mistakes in his live and paid for those mistakes but it doesn’t erase his errors either. Unfortunately none of us are saints and until we accept the truths of who each of us are we will never be able to come together for the betterment of all.
The left wants to have the full stage to themselves which means the end of free speech and the right to express and support causes contrary to the left’s ideologies.

Candace is a strong woman with a strong ethic and commitment. I have had jobs along with an upbringing that taught all lives matter. We didn’t pick and chose who got the medical treatment, we didn’t pick and chose who we stood behind in the military. We didn’t pick and chose who was tried for crimes in the justice system. all lives mattered and that is still they way I look at things. My father served on the old”checkerboard crews in the Merchant Marines during war time. He taught us that all people were humans and worthy of our time and consideration.
I am proud of Candace. She is not afraid as so many of the Republicans are. She takes a stand and that is it. Good for her. She can be on my team any day of the week. I am certainly on hers. Sh has many more followers than the pussy wooses who are chicken doo doo.

High time for FEDERAL regulation of on line social media as common carriers. Censoring is prohibited on common carriers. (You don’t get cut off criticizing a politician on the telephone, phone companies are regulated.) Censoring and censoring algorithms are being used to influence elections. Attorney General Bill Barr needs to make a legal connection between on line censoring and federal election tampering (a criminal offense) and get on line social media regulated. Immediately. Some social media executives belong in JAIL.

I’m a physician and I have studied many years to save lives but now the socialist leftists support murdering a newborn baby. Don’t teach me about the definition of life. I know a lot more than these idiots. But what’s absurd is protesting, looting, and killing for a criminal and drug abuser because they are so concerned about life. What respect of life is this? It’s more like stealing things that you don’t want to work for.
Be blessed for the amount you were able to acquire. To think they came up with over a million for George Floyd who was a felon then killed. All his relatives have been doing Go fund me also and acquiring huge sums of money.

Very sad time for our great country. I believed that one of our freedoms was to be able to speak freely and not be censored for your political view. If we don’t agree with the rhetoric we are racist. We are not responsible for our past history. We are responsible for our actions today. Hard working people, all people, were harmed and their livelihoods stolen from them due to rioting. Who is going to compensate them? The looters , the organizers of the riots they won’t come forward and pay the price, they hide using masks.

Candace, you were brave to step up and let us know who George Floyd really was. According to what the left wing media was freely reporting, he was a saint that all young black men should aspire to emulate. Absolutely shameful that this country has spiraled into mediocrity.
It would be a true blessing if you would come on the Rick Roberts show on WBAP in Dallas to give us all hope to try to make sense of the insanity we are witnessing right now. Rick’s show is the fifth largest market in the nation. Please consider it…you would have a very large and supportive audience.
I mentioned that Candace’s truth was inconvenient for some (Twitter in this case). Saying that, does not demean what truth really is. Certainly truth is truth, but it is NOT what some want to hear (again Twitter, Facebook, MSM, ETC.). For them and their ilk, what Candace spoke made their versions, deletions and untruths included, made it inconvenient for
their narratives. Nowhere anyone, me included, said her truths were not true, but think about it like this: can you picture
the left calling Floyd the criminal he was? NO, it would be anathema and quite inconvenient for them to do so. But still, no, the truth never changed just because THEY (LEFT) didn’t like it. Calling it inconvenient did NOT mean it was false.
