Dementia Joe comes out of the basement
Joe Biden added to the growing legend of his advancing dementia yesterday when he appeared to get lost reading his notes on a video conference discussing safety measures in reopening the economy.
Staring at his notes, with a black mask dangling from his left ear, Biden scratches his head as he appears to listlessly read from the paper he’s looking at until he says, “you know, the rapidly rising….ah, ah, ah…in with ah…with ah…I don’t know…ah….his just inability to focus on federal responsibility.”
The RNC was quick to capitalize on the gaffe tweeting: “I don’t know”: Joe Biden gets lost reading his own notes.
In May, Biden got into trouble when he told a black reporter “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” His self-described “cavalier” remark highlights the patronizing tone that liberals often assume with African Americans.
“Democratic White House candidate Joe Biden is in damage limitation mode after saying African Americans ‘ain’t black’ if they even consider voting for President Donald Trump over him,” reported the BBC.
Biden has been famous throughout his career for his off-color comments that often land him in hot water. But his latest mistake highlights a worrying sign that perhaps old-age his catching up with Biden.
Said liberal Glenn Greenwald: “The steadfast, wilful refusal of Dem political & media elites to address what is increasingly visible to the naked eye — Biden’s serious cognitive decline — is frightening indeed, not only for what it portends for 2020 but what it says about the ease of snapping them into line.”
Ann Coulter agreed, telling Breitbart: “The media will protect Biden in a way that no Republican with that level of senile dementia that Biden has could run for president.”
Liberal cartoonist Ted Rall said that Democrats are attempting to “gaslight” the American people to elect a man “clearly suffering from dementia.”
The Boston Herald argued that Biden is the perfect Democratic candidate because, if called to testify in a scandal, Biden could say he doesn’t remember and no one would be able to contradict him.
The COVID lockdown didn’t help make look Biden more in touch. He stayed in his basement, looking subdued, more like a man who enjoyed feeding the ducks all day than a presidential candidate.
Some people think that Biden should stay in the basement rather than risk opening his mouth.
“People say all the time, ‘Oh, we got to get the vice president out of the basement,’” said Democrat strategist Terry McAuliffe, who was Hillary’s campaign chairman. “He’s fine in the basement. Two people see him a day: his two body people. That’s it.”
After yesterday’s gaffe, it’s hard not to agree.
