The Trump campaign held its first virtual fundraiser on Tuesday and it was a huge success. The campaign raised $20 million as it continues to operate during the coronavirus pandemic.

The fundraiser was hosted by the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., and his girlfriend Trump Victory Finance Committee National Chairwoman Kimberly Guilfoyle. It is the first event of its kind for the Trump campaign although Democratic nominee Joe Biden has already raised large sums of cash himself utilizing the virtual platform.

“Trump Victory’s groundbreaking fundraising record proves the American people are passionate about gaining four more years under President Trump’s strong leadership. Across the nation, the silent majority are coming together to donate their valuable time and hard-earned money to help make this President’s re-election a reality,” Guilfoyle said.

With around 300,000 donors participating in the event, the average donation amounts to about $67 according to the Trump campaign.

“The most important measure of success in this race is enthusiasm, and the enthusiasm from President Trump’s supporters cannot be matched,” said Guilfoyle.

The Biden campaign is still trailing behind Trump when it comes to fundraising but was able to close the gap in the last quarter ending with $242 million in the bank while Trump has $295 million.

“$20 million dollars. That’s the number President Trump raised tonight during his first virtual fundraiser. Biden couldn’t do that if he tried. The energy behind President Trump is REAL,” tweeted Students for Trump founder Ryan Fournier.

Democrats attacked the president for attending the fundraiser at his D.C. hotel without wearing a mask not long after he tweeted a photograph of himself in a mask claiming it was patriotic. Many people at the hotel were wearing masks including former New York City Mayor Rudy Guliani but several of the president’s top aides were not.

The president has been utilizing his campaign funds in larger numbers than in 2016 due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to FEC reports, the Trump campaign has spent $983 million since 2017. They spent nearly $2 million alone on the president’s rally in Tulsa, OK.

The event also included guest appearances from the president’s daughter Tiffany Trump, chief of staff Mark Meadows and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

The Republican Party is the only Party for Americans! The Democratic Party is from Africa and has nothing to do in America!

Wonderful! Thank God for Trump. It has caused the Marxists to drop 1 mask whle donning another. And he didn’t have terriosm funder Ga Soros’ $ either. More people are seeing Covid as a politically planned action & soon they’ll see the so called Ga Floyd.case as the jihadist paid death flashpoint as well.

$20 million is a good start, but I think that there will be much more for President Trump!
