Pence can’t wait to debate Harris
Vice President Mike Pence can’t wait to go one-on-one with Democratic vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris. Pence joined Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Wednesday and said that Harris has embraced the agenda of the radical left.
“I think she is a skilled debater, but I can’t wait to get to Salt Lake City and be on the stage whether to compare Joe Biden’s nearly 50 years in public life, the agenda of the radical left, the agenda that she’s embraced throughout her political career, with the results of this president and this administration,” Pence told Hannity.
Harris joined Democratic nominee Joe Biden in Delaware on Wednesday and wasted no time going after Trump.
“The case against Donald Trump and Mike Pence is open and shut,” said Harris. “America is crying for leadership.”
Pence wasn’t fazed by the attack and instead pointed out that he and Trump are far outpacing Biden’s record on jobs and the economy.
“We’ve created more jobs in the last 3 months than Joe Biden and Barack Obama created in their 8 years in office,” the vice president tweeted.
He told Fox News that while Biden and Harris talk about helping African Americans, the Trump administration has delivered.
“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris come from a party that’s been talking about helping African-Americans for decades,” Pence said. “This is a president who, because of the policies we advanced, we actually saw the lowest unemployment ever recorded for African-Americans. We saw the creation of thousands of opportunity zones creating billions of dollars of investment in our inner cities. This is a president who doubled the school choice program here in our nation’s capital, has been fighting for educational opportunities for every American, especially in our minority communities.”
Pence isn’t the only one looking forward to the vice-presidential debate. South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem pointed out the clear differences between Pence and Harris.
“Looking forward to the VP debate. @Mike_Pence: freedom, strong families & safe communities. Harris: take away your health insurance, trillions in new taxes & mass incarceration,” tweeted Noem.
Pence ripped into the Democratic platform saying that the choice could not be clearer.
“They actually want to raise taxes by $4 trillion. They want to do their own version of the Green New Deal, of a $2 trillion, massive environmental agenda,” Pence said. “They’re going to appoint activist judges to our courts. They’re going to support taxpayer funding of abortion. They support open borders.”
The debate between Pence and Harris is scheduled for October 7 in Salt Lake City.
