Competing town halls display media’s anti-Trump bias. Trump still comes out on top

While some on the left condemned the contrasting town halls aired last night between President Donald Trump and Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, the competing shows revealed a lot about the style of the men running for president, and about what’s wrong with politics in America.

“Trump alternately played victim and aggressor as they parried back and forth at rapid-fire speed. ‘You always do this,’ he said, looking angry during a tense exchange when [town hall moderator] Guthrie questioned his equivocations about White supremacy,” reported CNN. “‘You’ve done this to me and everybody. … Are you listening? I denounce White supremacy. What’s your next question?’ he snapped.”

Well yeah, he has answered that question…often. But the mainstream media keeps asking.

Trump’s point is that it’s okay to talk about the people who are burning and looting American cities who are never condemned by their allies on the left.

The exchange stands in stark contrast to the pillow fluffing George Stephanopoulos did for Joe Biden on the ABC News town hall, with questions that were designed simply to make President Trump appear evil.

“Will you demand that President Trump take a test that day and that it be negative before you debate?” moderator George Stephanopoulos asked in a typical softball.

“Yeah,” Biden replied, “By the way, before I came up here, I took another test, I’ve been taking it every day, the deep test, you know, the one, they go in both. Because I wanted to be able to — if I had not passed that test, I didn’t want to come here and not expose anybody.”

Wow, talk about breaking new ground in public service. Stephanpolous and Guthrie both asked questions that have been repeated ad nauseam, answered ad nauseam, making the whole set-up by either as original as Nick-at-Night reruns.

Trump supporters, however, felt that despite the hostility of the moderators to Trump –or maybe because of the hostility — and the obvious bias to keep things simple for Biden, that the night belonged to the President out of the contrast that was made between the two men.

“Trump denounces White Supremacy multiple times. Savannah Guthrie follows by accusing Trump of dodging. This is already an absolute joke. And does the audience get to ask questions? Trump pushes back by asking why Lester Holt didn’t ask about Antifa,” tweeted The Hill media reporter Joe Concha.

In contrast, the Daily Caller’s senior congressional reporter noticed that there were no tough questions for Biden.

“VERY interesting that there were ZERO questions to Biden tonight about the new Hunter Biden stories… Wonder why that is?” asked Henry Rodgers.

Because Biden can’t handle the tough questions.

“Watching Sleepy Joe during the town hall. He gets asked about Police. He rambles about nothing. Moderator goes to commercial. Sleepys mic still on and he says “I don’t know if I answered your question, but…” #BidenTownHall,” said one viewer.
