Rep. Stefanik: Biden’s been lying to America about his business dealings and here’s how I know …
New York Representative Elise Stefanik (R), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, blasted Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden for the sleazy business dealings that have come to light as a result of disclosures made by the New York Post and others after searching Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptops.
“Stefanik detailed her experience asking each witness in President Trump’s impeachment hearings whether there was a conflict of interest, or an appearance of one, created by Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Ukrainian natural-gas firm Burisma Holdings during Joe Biden’s time as vice president. All of the witnesses said yes, she recalled,” says Yahoo News.
Joe Biden is lying to the American people.
Every single witness during impeachment hearings testified that Hunter Biden serving on the board of Burisma was a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest.
I know. Because I asked each and every one.

Stefanik says that the scandal isn’t about Hunter Biden so much as about Joe Biden’s misuse of his power to benefit himself and his family.
“This is not just a Hunter Biden scandal. This is a Joe Biden scandal, and it’s not just Burisma. It’s also now the Chinese Communist government and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP),” said Stefanik, referring to proposed business deals with a Chinese energy company that had close ties to the CCP.
Stefanik serves on the task force that studies the malign influence of the CCP in the US, and knows better than most the corruption that the communists create in America.
I was honored to join number of my colleagues on the China Task Force this year to chart a path for combatting the malign influence of the CCP. I am proud to have contributed two bills to CTF's final report, that are now a part of this package. ⬇️https://t.co/wwUZFE277Z

Stefanik’s recollection of the Trump impeachment hearings flies in the face of Biden’s assertion that no one from the Obama administration had any problem with the conflicts of interest in Biden’s business dealings.
During the debate Biden claimed that “every single solitary person, when [Trump] was going through his impeachment, testifying under oath, who worked for him said I did my job impeccably, I carried out U.S. policy, not one single, solitary thing was out of line.”

But, getting past the jumble of words, this is another denial-non-denial by Biden.
He didn’t claim he didn’t have a conflict of interest. He simply claimed that no one said he had a conflict.
It’s also in line with Biden’s previous claims that Obama-Biden was the most scandal-free administration ever.
That’s the funny thing about history. It gets written over time, and a claim to be “scandal free” is about as perishable as landing on an aircraft carrier and declaring “mission accomplished.”
There is a big difference between scandals not being covered by the press and being scandal free, as Obama and Biden have suggested.
In fact, it seems in retrospect that the claim is part of the rush by Obama-Biden to get in front of history writers to give them a hint as what to write.
Like other denials by Biden, it relies on others as witnesses.
Biden has previously claimed that the Ukraine government has cleared him of any wrongdoing, in the same way that impeachment testimony cleared him.
It’s also reminiscent of the left’s attempt to clear Hillary Clinton by claiming that the Director of the FBI cleared her of wrongdoing.
Like in the case of Clinton’s emails, Biden’s claims to be free of scandal are going through a process of revision as more disclosures are made. Disclosures that cry out for straight answers.
“The American people deserve answers and no amount of censorship from Big Tech … should take away from the fact that Joe Biden needs to answer these questions for the American people,” Stefanik told Fox News.
