Lesley Stahl’s ’60 Minutes’ interview was worse than Trump described. No wonder he walked out.

Longtime mainstream media liberal, Lesley Stahl is taking heat today for suggesting during an interview with President Donald Trump that there is nothing scandalous about the growing scandal involving revelations gleaned from the disclosure of the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop.

In an interview the President bemoaned the fact that the press has a double standard when reporting news. He cited the fact that Obama’s administration conducted surveillance on the Trump campaign which Stahl said “could not be verified.”

“There’s no real evidence of that,” Stahl told the President in response.

“Of course there is. It’s all over the place. Lesley, they spied on my campaign, and they got caught,” Trump replied.

“Can I say something? You know, this is 60 Minutes. And we can’t put on things we can’t verify,” Stahl added.

In a similar way, Stahl said the materials on the Biden laptop couldn’t be verified, so alas, the media wouldn’t be able to report on it.

“All these things have been investigated and discredited,” Stahl told Trump. “You’re trying to discredit us,” added the 60-Minutes anchor.

“No,” Trump said. “You’re discrediting yourself, Lesley.”

The video was made available by the White House after Trump terminated an interview with Stahl last week over what he interpreted as hostility by Stahl during the tough questioning.

60-Minutes whined about the White House decision to release the full 37-minute video, as if somehow releasing the full video denied 60-Minutes the ability to provide “context,” that all-important liberal weapon that explains what you should really think independent of the evidence.

“The White House’s unprecedented decision to disregard their agreement with CBS News and release their footage will not deter 60 MINUTES from providing its full, fair and contextual reporting which presidents have participated in for decades,” says the CBS statement, says the Washington Examiner.

Trump called Biden a corrupt politician during the interview, mocking the press for softball questions regarding what flavor ice cream Biden is eating rather than about the scandal.

“He’s corrupt. He’s a corrupt politician, and he’s walking with ice cream. And the question the media asks is what kind of ice cream, what flavor ice cream? And he’s in the midst of a scandal,” Trump said to Stahl, at one point.

Not to mention a presidential campaign where he doesn’t show up to campaign each day and doesn’t answer common questions like: “Will you pack the Supreme Court with liberal justices?”

“He’s not. He’s not!” Stahl replied combatively to Trump in response to the corruption claim.

“You’re like big tech, you’re protecting him, and everybody is,” the President told Stahl according to the New York Post.

It’s no wonder why Trump walked out on the interview.

Trump is 100 percent correct that the media in America is in the process of totally discrediting itself over their lack of curiosity when it comes to Biden’s sins. It’s been an ongoing process however.

What used to be overt liberal bias has now become unapologetic liberal cheerleading.

The only choice conservatives have is to discredit the press everywhere just like Trump did.

Up until now, no Republican President outside of Reagan has been willing to take on the press terms different than the ones they dictate.
