Leftist bullies, including ‘Squad’ member, force Girl Scouts to delete tweet celebrating ACB

The Girl Scouts of America have stepped in it once again. After Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the Supreme Court, the organization congratulated her on Facebook and Twitter for being the fifth woman ever to sit on the high court since its inception in 1789. It didn’t take long for the brutal backlash to begin, prompting the group to delete the message. After scandals involving membership and gender issues, this may hurt them even more.

But this doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, given that the Girl Scouts chose to align itself with liberal causes and companies, such as Planned Parenthood.

The original post stated: “Congratulations Amy Coney Barrett on becoming the 5th woman appointed to the Supreme Court since its inception in 1789” and it ended with an emoji of hands raised up. In the post was a pic of Barrett, her two Supreme Court colleagues… associate justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, former associate justice Sandra Day O’Connor, and the late associate justice and Barrett’s predecessor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Critics and politicians were quick to pounce when the posts first appeared. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), a member of “The Squad,” tweeted out: “What kind of patch does one earn for uplifting a woman who is the antithesis of justice?” It would appear that feminism and justice are only for the left according to her. If you are a woman, pro-life, and a constitutional originalist, then you can’t possibly be a fair judge it would seem.

Another user who claimed to be a “life-long Girl Scout” said she was “ashamed” of the post. “I already felt uneasy as a trans person in this organization, but now I really understand that with this message that Girl Scouts really does not support me or my trans/LGBTQ siblings,” she whined. Meet the new and improved Girl Scouts with a hard leftist twist.

The Girl Scouts immediately issued a statement as a form of damage control. They said that the post was “quickly viewed as a political and partisan statement,” which was not its original intent. But the move of deleting it in itself was a political and partisan statement and they know it. “Girl Scouts of the USA is a nonpolitical, nonpartisan organization,” the statement added. “We are neither red nor blue, but Girl Scout GREEN. We are here to lift up girls and women.”

After making it clear that leftist issues were far more important than historic ones, the Girl Scouts received over 4,000 replies concerning the post. One person stated: “I’m going to spend my $100 Girl Scout Cookie budget on ingredients to make my own next year.” Many more followed suit.

Nonprofit conservative group the Independent Women’s Forum posted: “Of course the Girl Scouts caved to the mob and deleted this tweet congratulating Amy Coney Barrett. SAD.”

Others were even more direct in their response.

Those on the Left celebrated the move. Take for instance Noah Michelson, who is the editorial director of HuffPost Personal. He took to Facebook with this: “no requirement that we celebrate someone as a hero to women simply because she identifies as a woman, especially when the thing she did was actually done for her by a gang of disgraceful goons and when she is poised to destroy the lives of so many people.”

What is at issue here is fear. Leftists are terrified of a conservative-leaning Supreme Court with hard-hitting issues such as voting rights, healthcare, abortion, gun rights, immigration, religious freedom, and LGBTQ rights on the docket. Barrett throws a huge wrench into the Left’s political agenda and they are panicking over it.

The Girl Scouts are about to find out that if you live by the leftist sword, you may very well die by it. Talk about tone-deaf. You reap what you sow.
