Kayleigh McEnany scorches media over Biden scandals: ‘Great journalistic malpractice of our time’
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany blasted the news media for ignoring the multiple scandals surrounding revelations made from the discovery of data on an abandoned Hunter Biden laptop, saying “journalism has abdicated their duty to get the truth for the American people.”
Appearing on Fox and Friends in the morning, McEnany was responding to a story where Fox News reporters tried to ask Jim Biden, the brother of the Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, about the scandals.
Documents from the laptop say that Jim Biden acted as the titular head of the Biden family company, Sinohawk, that is at the center of the allegations of influence peddling with foreign companies and governments.
“Joe Biden still has not denied the substance of this allegation,” said McEnany.
That’s likely because few major media companies have treated it like it was anything other than a story about how the Trump campaign was using the information against the Biden campaign.
“We have emails, we have text messages, we have a firsthand witness in Tony Bobulinski, that says that Joe Biden is compromised by China, he profited off of China, during his time in government he profited from foreign governments on the taxpayers’ dime,’ said McEnany.
“This is the great journalistic malpractice of our time that they refuse to ask questions,” McEnany added referring to the mainstream media’s self-censorship of the story
Previously, Fox reporters had attempted to question Jim Biden outside his Maryland home regarding the revelations made by the laptop.
But Jim Biden refused to answer questions about the scandal.
“I don’t want to comment about anything,” said the brother Biden to questions shouted from across the street as he returned to his home, after first asking “What are you talking about?”
“Why did you involve Joe Biden in your China deal,” shouted one reporter.
“Would you please stop bothering me?” said Jim Biden.
Former Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski claimed this week that he met with Jim Biden and discussed how the Biden family would cover Joe Biden’s participation in the business deals.
“Plausible deniability,” Bobulinski said the Biden brother chuckled.
This isn’t the first time people have questioned the family’s linkage of business and politics.
The FBI raided a business linked to Jim Biden earlier this year, seizing documents.
“The raid of an Americore Health hospital represented a deepening of the legal morass surrounding James Biden’s recent venture into health care investing at a time when questions about the business dealings of Joe Biden’s relatives, and their alleged connection to the former vice president’s public service, continue to dog his presidential campaign,” says Politico.
One allegation surrounding the China deal is that documents apparently show that a Chinese company may have transferred as much as $5 million to the Bidens in the form of an interest-free loan.
That squares with allegations made in the FBI case where “a former Americore executive has told POLITICO that James Biden had more than half a million dollars transferred to him from the firm as a personal loan that has not yet been repaid.”
