Mitch McConnell trolls Hillary Clinton in epic fashion with ‘wonderful birthday present’
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, stumping for votes in Kentucky, taunted former Democrat Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over the confirmation of newly-minted Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett, that coincided with Clinton’s birthday.
“It was a wonderful birthday present for Hillary Clinton to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court Monday night on her birthday,” McConnell said while campaigning on Wednesday. “Oh, I’m sure she was so grateful, so grateful.”
The joke punctuates a high-water mark for the Senate GOP leader with conservatives, who sometimes look at McConnell with suspicion.
McConnell managed to usher through the nomination of Barrett through confirmation quickly, avoiding the pitfalls that have dogged other GOP SCOTUS fights.
In part, he accomplished it by going on the offensive against smear tactics that were used previously.

“Now, already, some of the same individuals who tried every conceivable dirty trick to obstruct Justice (Neil) Gorsuch and Justice (Brett) Kavanaugh are lining up, lining up to declare the third time will be the charm” said McConnell as the nomination fight loomed.
So it’s understandable that McConnell, who served with Clinton in the Senate, would want to take a victory lap.
Clinton took to Twitter earlier this week complaining about the confirmation vote, well after everything but the shouting was over in the nomination fight.
“It is an insult to the American people that the GOP is ramming through a Supreme Court justice with just eight days until the end of an election in which nearly 60 million people have already voted,” said Clinton.

The House Republican Judiciary members also took to Twitter to wish Clinton a happy birthday.
“Amy Coney Barrett, confirmed. Happy Birthday, @HillaryClinton!” they tweeted.

Some people, however, weren’t in the mood for levity, noting that some will not be able to celebrate birthdays due to mistakes by Hillary.
“Screw Hillary’s birthday. Four Benghazi heroes will never celebrate another birthday,” tweeted Juanita Broaddrick.
Broaddrick alleges that Bill Clinton raped her in April of 1978 while he was serving as the Attorney General of Arkansas, biting her lip until it was swollen.

The allegations remind us that underneath the fun and games of birthday jokes, it’s never really fun and games with the Clintons who come to have expectations that Americans will accept whatever outrageous behavior they engage in.
“Never forget that Hillary once tweeted Happy Birthday to herself and assumed that she’d be the President of the United States,” said one Twitter user.

It was just four years ago, on the eve of the election of Donald Trump over Clinton that Hillary tweeted premature birthday congratulations to herself as a future President of the United States.
Never forget it couldn’t have happened to a nicer gal.
