Jenna Ellis compares Biden Cabinet choices to fantasy football

The mainstream media predictably seems smitten with the initial cabinet members of a purported Joe Biden administration, but U.S. Sens. Tom Cotton (R – Ark.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) aren’t joining in the lovefest. Biden’s Democrat administration, if there is one, appears to on track to be populated with establishment Obama retreads or the equivalent that corporate news outlets immediately branded — without evidence — as competent moderates.

In general, these are the types of limousine liberal policy makers who got the country into endless wars, champion open borders, helped send American jobs overseas to China and elsewhere and thus hollowed out the U.S. manufacturing sector, gave away the store to Iran, and are more attuned to Wall Street than Main Street.

As Sen. Cotton recalled as part of a series of epic Tweets blasting the Biden appointees (or perhaps the appointees of Biden’s back-room handlers), these are similar to the experts who also turned Libya into an ISIS theme park.

“The liberal media is swooning over the ‘A-Team’ of ‘hyper-competent’ and ‘incredibly kind’ Obama-Biden alums getting back together,” Cotton wrote, among other things. “These reporters and pundits were swooning over the same people a decade ago while they presided over absolute chaos abroad. These are the same people who knocked over Libya in 2011, leading to a decade of nightmarish civil war and jihadi terror. A case study in ‘competence.'”

Rubio also called out the America Last credentialed cronies:

“Biden’s cabinet picks went to Ivy League schools, have strong resumes, attend all the right conferences & will be polite & orderly caretakers of America’s decline I support American greatness And I have no interest in returning to the ‘normal’ that left us dependent on China.”

Rush Limbaugh’s younger brother David isn’t buying the media spin either.

“The latest line of media propaganda on the incoming Biden administration: they’re all experienced moderates who’ll bring unity to the country. The fact that they have served before and are fossils does not make them moderate, especially when they share Obama’s leftist ideology.

If the GOP retains control of the Senate after the January Georgia runoffs, not all of these nominees may receive a successful confirmation vote, if Cotton and Rubio’s views are representative of the caucus.

In the meantime, one gushing journalist even compared the Biden picks to the characters in The Avengers superhero movie franchise.

On the other hand, MSNBC’s resident conspiracy theorist Joy Reid is worried that as reflected in the nominees, a Biden administration could be too conciliatory to the political right.

In the context of rushing to describe Biden appointees as moderate, apolitical, and competent, a quote attributed to playwright/filmmaker a quote attributed to playwright/filmmaker David Mamet might be appropriate: “In order to continue advancing their illogical arguments, modern liberals have to pretend not to know things…”

Many Twitter users shared the senators’ and Limbaugh’s disdain for the Biden picks and the related media cheerleading. Here is a sample:
