Biden’s comments baffle: ‘I’ll develop some disease and say I have to resign’

Presumptive President-elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris did their first interview since the election with CNN’s Jake Tapper. Fox Nation host Lawrence Jones said on Friday that it is obvious Biden will be “taking the backseat” to his vice president. He said this after Biden quipped in the interview: “Like I told Barack, if I reach something where there’s a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I’ll develop some disease and say I have to resign.”

Biden told Tapper on CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” that working with Harris hasn’t held “any surprise” since they’ve previously spoken about it. Biden told Tapper “I understand how campaigns can sometimes get a little out of wack a little bit” and he said he doesn’t “hold grudges.”

“So I don’t have — when we disagree, it will be just like — so far it’s been just like Barack and I did. It’s in private. She’ll say I think we should do A, B, C, or D. And I’ll say I like A, don’t like B and C. And let’s go okay,” Biden stated.

“And like I told Barack, if I read something where there’s a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I’ll develop some disease and say I have to resign,” Biden told Tapper.

Biden said he and Harris “are simpatico” regarding their governing philosophy. The former vice president also said he and Harris have talked extensively about their views on multiple policy areas including foreign policy, domestic policy, and intelligence.

“This is why he doesn’t do interviews because he is so incoherent; this is why they kept him in the basement for the majority of the campaign,” Jones stated.

Biden campaigned as a ‘moderate’ but Harris ran on being progressive. In fact, she is widely thought of as the most radical leftist in the Senate and she is a breath away from being President of the United States.

“She disagrees with him on virtually every single issue,” Jones said. Which would indicate it would seem that according to Biden, he will not hold the presidency for long.

CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Don Lemon both appeared giddy after Tapper wrapped up his exclusive interview with Biden and Harris. They are indicative of just how much the media loves Democrats.

Toward the end of the prime-time special, Lemon commented on Tapper’s sit-down, showering Biden with praise over what he described as a “normal” and “sane” interview.

“We heard no fake news. We heard no conspiracy theories. We heard no personal grievances,” Lemon said. “We heard a president-elect and a vice president who want to work with the other side.”

Jones posited that Biden is what he calls a “retail politician” who won’t “be running” the White House as most people assume.

“I’m going to be interested to see how this is going to play out, but, again there are some philosophy issues going into the White House immediately on day one.”

Jones went on to say, “By the way, that’s such a dishonest thing to do to the American people. Instead of coming out and saying, look, I disagree with the president, and, I am resigning because of that. You want to fake some kind of illness?”

During the interview, there were no substantive questions. However, Biden did say that he would urge or even mandate that Americans wear masks for the first 100 days of his presidency.

Biden also detailed how he supposedly broke his foot while playing with his dog. He has been prominently sporting a big boot on his right foot because of the hairline fractures. His story has changed a bit.

Biden on Thursday revealed that he broke his foot tripping on a rug after a shower as he chased one of his dogs and grabbed its tail.

Biden’s campaign previously explained the hairline fracture by saying Biden fell while playing with the dog, but did not mention the shower or tugging the animal’s tail.
