‘Buckle up!’ Chuck Schumer celebrates Georgia turning blue with just two words to unify Americans

Avatar

Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has already declared himself Senate Majority Leader. And in the spirit of unity, he’s telling Americans to buckle up! He’s looking right at the Republicans and the 75 million Americans who voted for Trump when he says that. Schumer will kindly and thoughtfully lead the way in shredding the Constitution and destroying everything America once stood for. But he wants to do it together!

Let’s see… I don’t feel the need to come together here. There are a bunch of words for what most of America feels today, but at the top of the heap is the word ‘terrified’. But everyone agrees that it is indeed time to buckle up as the leftist Democrats now control the Executive and Legislative branches of our government and can pretty much do whatever they have long dreamed of. Their dream is America’s nightmare.

Schumer on Wednesday morning celebrated Democrats retaking the Senate after winning both runoffs in Georgia.

“It feels like a brand new day,” Schumer said. “For the first time in six years, Democrats will operate a majority in the United States Senate – and that will be very good for the American people.”

I highly doubt that.

The Senate will now be evenly split 50-50, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as the tie-breaking vote. Democrats can now assist incoming President-elect Joe Biden in fulfilling his progressive agenda, which ranges from tackling the coronavirus pandemic to climate change to racial justice. The 2020 election results give Democrats control of the House, Senate, and the White House for the first time in a decade.

“America is experiencing one of the greatest crises we have ever faced, and the Senate Democratic Majority is committed to delivering the bold change and help Americans need and demand,” Schumer said. “Senate Democrats know America is hurting – help is on the way.”

Help? ‘Buckle up’ does not sound like help, it sounds like radical, violent change.

As the top Democrat in the upper chamber, Schumer will likely become the next majority leader, demoting current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to minority leader. McConnell deserves to be demoted right out of office with the rest of them. The respective caucuses vote on these positions at the start of each Congress.

“As Majority Leader, President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris will have a partner who is ready, willing, and able to help achieve a forward-looking agenda and deliver help and bold change to the American people,” Schumer said.

And not to be left out, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi added in a statement:

“Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff ran and won on the values of advancing equality and opportunity for working people across the state and the nation. In sending these two outstanding Democratic Senators to Washington, Georgians cast their ballots for a fairer, accountable, and more compassionate America. Inspired by our beloved John Lewis, Senators-elect Warnock and Ossoff’s hunger for justice will bring necessary Good Trouble to the Senate.”

That should scare the dickens out of Americans.

More from Pelosi… “Now, because of the courageous leadership of Georgians, America will have a Democratic Senate working hand-in-hand with our Democratic House majority and President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris,” she said in a statement.

Pelosi highlighted coronavirus relief legislation as a top priority and alluded to single-payer healthcare and globalism.

“We will pursue a science and values-based plan to crush the virus and deliver relief to struggling families, safeguard the right to quality affordable health care and launch a plan to Build Back Better powered by fair economic growth,” she said.
