It’s all their fault! Jayapal tests positive for COVID, whines Republicans aren’t masking up
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) just tested positive for COVID-19 after the Capitol Hill riot on Wednesday where she was forced to take cover in a crowded room with other lawmakers. She is blaming Republicans who ‘cruelly’ would not wear masks. She announced her results early on Tuesday via Twitter.
She tweeted that she was “locked down in a secured room at the Capitol where several Republicans not only cruelly refused to wear a mask but recklessly mocked colleagues and staff who offered them one.” You see, it’s all their fault she contracted the coronavirus. Nevermind that she has no idea where she got it… it’s the Republicans’ fault.
She started quarantining immediately after the attack, “fearing and foreseeing exactly what would occur given the number of maskless lawmakers sitting in the same room as her and her colleagues.”
Jayapal’s office issued a statement that said a number of congressional members and staff were informed by Dr. Brian Monahan, the attending physician of the U.S. Congress, that those secured in that particular room had been exposed to “another occupant with coronavirus infection.” She said they had been in the room for “multiple hours.”
So, not only is the unrest being laid at the feet of Republicans but getting COVID is also due to their evil intentions over going maskless. Is there nothing they won’t stop at? What next? Republican bogeymen? Oh, wait, Maxine Waters has that covered.
Just when you thought Jayapal couldn’t be more of a drama queen, she outdoes herself. She stated that there were over 100 people in the room and she believes it was a “superspreader event.” Well, it looks like anytime three or more Republicans gather anywhere these days, the Democrats think it is a “superspreader event” so it appears this qualifies.
“I am also calling for serious fines to be immediately levied on every single Member who refuses to wear a mask in the Capitol,” Jayapal said. “Additionally, any Member who refuses to wear a mask should be immediately removed from the floor by the Sergeant at Arms. This is not a joke. Our lives and our livelihoods are at risk, and anyone who refuses to wear a mask should be fully held accountable for endangering our lives because of their selfish idiocy.”
She’s an expert on that.
Jayapal is the second lawmaker to contract COVID allegedly from the incident. House Democratic Rep Bonnie Watson Coleman, who was also at the Capitol during the riots, said she tested positive.

All this is a result of the Capitol riot where one female Air Force veteran was shot and killed by a police officer and another officer eventually died from being beaten during the riot. At least 120 have been arrested over the protest. Democrats are calling for Trump’s head on a platter. They want him arrested for incitement, insurrection, and treason over the riot – he’s guilty of none of that.
“Too many Republicans have refused to take this pandemic and virus seriously, and in doing so, they endanger everyone around them,” Jayapal whined.
“Only hours after President Trump incited a deadly assault on our Capitol, our country, and our democracy, many Republicans still refused to take the bare minimum COVID-19 precaution and simply wear a damn mask in a crowded room during a pandemic — creating a superspreader event on top of a domestic terrorist attack,” Jayapal posted.
Following the events of Wednesday, including sheltering with several colleagues who refused to wear masks, I decided to take a Covid test.
I have tested positive.https://t.co/wivlbwrmV0

The congresswoman says she is isolating but will continue to work to the best of her ability and “do everything in my power to remove this President from office.”
