ASSASSINATION Confirmed – Secret Service Gave The Kill Order!

It reads like a bad dystopian spy novel.

A former member of Parliament (MP) accuses the leader of a corrupt nation of getting hopped up on cocaine and ends up getting whacked for being a “traitor” and a “scumbag.”

Except, the leader is Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the dead guy had defected to Russia just weeks after Moscow launched its invasion.

According to the UK’s Mirror, “Illya Kyva was shot dead in the village of Suponevo, to the west of Moscow, after he called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a cocaine addict.”

“The man was a Kremlin propagandist and one of Putin’s puppets, who appeared obediently on state TV shows and had alleged Zelensky was an MI6 stooge,” the outlet alleges.

“We can confirm that Kyva is done,” Andriy Yusov, a spokesman for Ukraine’s military intelligence, said, adding, “Such a fate will befall other traitors of Ukraine, as well as the henchmen of the Putin regime.”

Kyva was “one of the biggest scumbags, traitors and collaborators,” Yusov said, and his assassination, reportedly orchestrated by Ukraine’s SBU security services, was “justice.”

“Before going over to the Russian side, Kyva had fought against Moscow-backed separatist rebels in Ukraine’s eastern region of Donetsk and was elected to parliament in 2019,”  the Mirror reports. “Since his flight to Moscow, Kyva was a frequent participant in talk shows on Russian state television during which he blasted the Ukrainian leadership.”

Kyva was sentenced in absentia by a Ukrainian court to 14 years behind bars on charges of treason.

It isn’t the first time Ukraine has sent its killers into Russia to take out a perceived enemy.

“Kyva’s killing follows a slew of other attacks on prominent war supporters in Russia,” the Mirror notes. “In August 2022, Darya Dugina, the daughter of Russian nationalist ideologist Alexander Dugin, died in a car bomb explosion outside Moscow.”

According to the BBC, “Since the Russian invasion, the SBU and military intelligence have claimed a number of successful operations against high-value targets in the country’s occupied regions as well as in Russia itself.”

The BBC reports:

In a separate development, Russian-backed politician Oleg Popov was killed in a car bombing in Ukraine’s eastern Luhansk city on Wednesday, local officials said.

Most of the Luhansk region has been seized by Russia. Ukraine has not commented on that attack.

His death came a few weeks after fellow Luhansk region lawmaker Mikhail Filiponenko was killed in a similar attack that was claimed by Kyiv.

On X, many wondered if Zelensky hadn’t crossed the line into “war crimes” territory with the hit on Kyva, who was, according to the BBC, “planning to seek political asylum in Russia.”

“Is this a war crime?” asked one user. “Assassinating civilians seeking asylum?”

“A poor move by #Ukraine I think,” said one user on X. “Assassination of one of their own people overseas makes them as bad as Russia, Belarus etc…”
