President Joe Biden has been consistent in his calls for gun control so it should come as no surprise that the administration that has weaponized the Department of Justice against political opponents will push the limits of the law to strip Americans of the God-given right to self-defense.
On Friday, the 80-year-old president “will announce the creation of a new office for gun violence prevention, an escalation of the administration’s efforts to tackle the issue amid stalled progress in Congress, “The Washington Post reported, citing four people briefed on the action.
Make no mistake, the Biden White House is attempting to use executive-level action to come for your guns.
Liberal billionaire Mike Bloomberg’s gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety will play a “key” role in the new office Biden is set to announce from the Rose Garden Friday afternoon alongside Vice President Kamala Harris.
More from the Post:
Greg Jackson, a gun violence survivor who is the executive director of the Community Justice Action Fund, and Rob Wilcox, the senior director for federal government affairs at Everytown for Gun Safety, are expected to have key roles in the office, the people said.
The new office will report up through Stefanie Feldman, the White House staff secretary and a longtime Biden policy aide who has worked on the firearms issue for years, the people said. Feldman previously worked on the Domestic Policy Council and still oversees the gun policy portfolio at the White House.
In effect, the office will allow the vast power of the federal government to be employed in the push for gun control and provide the opportunity for the White House to lead this effort.
Shannon Watts, founder emerita of the gun control group Moms Demand Action, called the move a big f*cking deal — minus the expletive Biden employed when he praised Obamacare.
“If this announcement is, in fact, the creation of a single point of leadership on gun violence in the administration, it’s a very big deal for the movement,” Watts said in a statement.
“For years, we’ve advocated for a centralized team responsible for coordinating federal and state resources and mobilizing movement partners,” she added. “A governmental focal point dedicated to creating a framework for overseeing national policy, research and resources would be more than symbolic — it would be a significant turning point for the movement.”
The development will also result in taxpaying Second Amendment supporters funding an office that will work against their rights and their own best interests.
As might be expected, the gun grabbers celebrated online:
