Gov. JB Pritzker (D-Ill.) wrote a letter to President Joe Biden whining about the number of illegal aliens being bused to Chicago, asserting that what is really needed is a Border Czar.

The governor’s letter insists “that there be one person in the federal government who works directly for you in the White House who can lead the oversight of our nation’s efforts at the border.”
In what appears to be a total lack of self-awareness, the governor overlooked the fact that there is already a Border Czar and her name is Vice President Kamala Harris. She has failed to do anything at all concerning the border and now Pritzker wants more federal intervention in the matter.
With more than 17,000 illegal aliens reportedly flooding the Windy City over the last 13 months and nearly 9,660 living in city shelters, Pritzker is getting desperate and calling the situation “untenable.” He’s not keen on tent cities, ostensibly because he realizes during Chicago’s brutal winter months, many would freeze to death.
The letter demanded a complete overhaul of the immigration system and slammed the White House for a “lack of intervention and coordination at the border.”

“Unfortunately, the welcome and aid Illinois has been providing to these asylum seekers has not been matched with support by the federal government,” Pritzker wrote in his letter. “Most critically, the federal government’s lack of intervention and coordination at the border has created an untenable situation for Illinois.”
Pritzker is calling the flood of illegal immigrants a “humanitarian crisis” that is resulting in police stations having to house them. The situation is also resulting in migrants sleeping on the sidewalks and is straining medical assistance and social services, according to the governor.
“Governors and mayors from border states have shipped people to our state like cargo in a dehumanizing attempt to score political points. The people of Illinois are kind and generous. We believe in the fundamental right of every human, especially those facing persecution, to find refuge and live with dignity in this great country of ours,” Pritzker stated.
“But as the numbers being transported to Chicago are accelerating, the humanitarian crisis is overwhelming our ability to provide aid to the refugee population,” he continued.
He wants one person, who is evidently not Harris, designated as a Border Czar who will work closely with the White House concerning the migrant crises. Pritzker contends that there is too much red tape for states to deal with on the federal level for them to be effective in handling the situation.
What happened to @VP border czar?

“We ask that the White House and the Administration continue to look for ways to ‘cut the red tape’ and speed up the work authorization process by all means necessary, including instituting a mass blanket fee waiver,” the leftist governor wrote.
Pritzker also wants the federal government to determine where illegal immigrants will be sent. He wants to spread the pain equally across the United States so sanctuary cities are not the only ones suffering under the burden of leftist policies. He gave no acknowledgment of the toll illegal immigration has taken on border states where millions of migrants have crossed over.
“Allowing just one state to lay the burden upon a certain few states run by Democrats is untenable,” Pritzker proclaimed in the letter. “We are a nation that has welcomed immigrants and refugees since our founding, and we have done so in a bipartisan manner. It cannot be that just a few cities and states should now bear the cost of this effort alone.”
As for the president, he appears to be passing the buck once again on illegal immigration. According to Axios, White House spokesperson Angelo Fernández Hernández remarked in an emailed statement on Monday night that Biden had “repeatedly called on Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform since his first day in office.”
Users on X have absolutely no sympathy for Pritzker or Chicago:
Fair is fair. If the small border towns can handle ’em, Chiraq & the State of Illinois can sure af handle ’em. Keep them buses rollin’ lads, they’re about to reach across the aisle, and become big advocates of wall-building… pic.twitter.com/ko5QJwBiYn

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the governors and mayors who have been sharing the joy of illegal immigration with the people that promote and support it.

Poor Pritzker.
Does he really not understand that this is an intentional plan to destroy American society??
And eventually destroy American sovereignty. #ESCAPETHECITIES

This “humanitarian crisis” he’s referring to is a direct result of Biden Administration border policy.

@GovPritzker calls for one person to be in charge of border oversight.
Doesn’t he read the news? We have a Border Czar already. pic.twitter.com/XhgZ7NXFk2— Mark, Darkly Optimistic (@mkos66) October 2, 2023
15,000? They are whining about 15,000? Over 2 million this year alone. Even if we divide by 50 they aren’t even halfway to doing their share yet.
